The Italo Cescon wine growing and producing company was established on 1957 not so far fromTreviso city by its brave founder Italo Cescon and today is managed with the same passion and love by his childrens Gloria,Graziella and Domenico, together with mummy Chiara. Preserving the secrets and the memories of our daddy, nowadays we keep the tradition we hand down from our father with a scrupulous research of quality and we produce wines Doc Piave, Doc Friuli and Doc Valdobbiadene.
Italo Cescon Cabernet Sauvignon
Classification: Veneto IGT
Variety: 100% Cabernet
Soil: Clay
Harvesting: Harvested manually in wooden crates during the third week of September.
Wine Process: Pre-fermentation cold maceration for 4-5 days. Traditional maceration follows with completion of alcoholic and malolactic fermentation after 25 days.
Aging: Ages 9 months in oak barrels and then 6 months in bottle.
Alcohol level: 12%
Duration: 3 years
Color: Ruby red with violet reflexes.
Aroma: Rich with excellent fruit and spice. Complex and well balanced.
Taste: Dry, rich, and concentrated with strong, fruity overtones and notes of vanilla.
Serve with: Enjoy with roasts, poultry, game and aged cheeses. To be served between 60-64°F.

 
Italo Cescon Merlot
Classification: Veneto IGT
Variety: 100% Merlot
Soil: Clay
Harvesting: Grapes are harvested by hand in the early morning during the third week of September.
Wine Process: Pre-fermentation cold maceration at 41° for 2-3 days.
Traditional maceration follows for 10 days. Alcoholic fermentation occurs at 73°F.
Aging: Ages 9 months in oak barrels and then 4 months in the bottle.
Alcohol level: 12%
Duration: 3 years
Color: Dense ruby red
Aroma: Intense bouquet with fruity overtones; full and spicy.
Taste: Warm and dry, good intensity, strong after-aroma. A full, gentle, and persistent finish.
Serve with: White meat, poultry, and dishes prepared using giblets. Should be served between 60-64°F.


Italo Cescon Pinot Noir
Classification:

Variety: 100% Pinot Noir
Soil: Medium textured and clayey
Harvesting: Grapes are harvested by hand in early September.
Wine Process: 4 days’ pre-maceration, followed by a 6 day traditional maceration period. Alcoholic fermentation at 78° F. after which malolactic fermentation begins.
Aging: Ages 4 months in tanks
Refinement in bottle: 3 months
Alcohol level: 12%
Duration: 2-3 years
Color: A ruby red color
Aroma: An elegant bouquet suggesting fruit and rose petals.
Taste: Contains abundant spices and provides a lengthy finish. A full-flavoured wine.
Serving suggestions: Goes well with roasts of both light and red meats. Should be served at 60-64° F.


Italo Cescon Pinot Grigio
Classification: Veneto IGT
Variety: 100% Pinot Grigio
Soil: Gravely, medium textured
Harvesting: Grapes are harvested by hand in late August
Wine Process: Soft crushing and pressing with first-pressing must of 60%. Fermentation with selected yeasts that lasts for 10 days at a maximum temperature of 61° F.
Aging: Ages in stainless steel tanks with its own yeasts for 4 months. Then refined in the bottle for 2-3 months.
Alcohol level: 12%
Duration: 2-3 years
Color: A deep yellow, straw-like color.
Aroma: Intense with slight hints of nutmeg, peach, and acacia.
Taste: Dry, crisp and fresh with strong, fruity overtones and hints of orange zest. It has a rich, persistent flavor that is lengthy and elegant.
Serving suggestions: Great as an aperitif or with most seafood dishes. Also, goes well with white meats and fresh cheeses. Should be served at 46-50° F.


Italo Cescon Chardonnay
Classification: Veneto IGT
Variety: 100% Chardonnay
Soil: Gravely
Harvesting: Grapes in perfectly healthy state are harvested manually the last week of August during the coolest hours of the day.
Wine Process: Cold maceration for 20 hours. Soft pressing and first pressing must of 50%. Controlled temperature fermentation for 20 days.
Aging: Sur lie in stainless steel tanks for 4 months.
Refinement in bottle: 3 months
Alcohol level: 12% Vol.
Color: Bright, intense, persistent golden yellow.
Aroma: Typically fruity with notes of peach, apple, and more complex overtones of exotic fruit and hazelnut.
Taste: Dry, rich, opulent, pleasingly fresh-tasting and buttery, with good texture and good length and harmony. A long and velvety flavor.
Serve with: Salmon risotto, swordfish with olives, grilled scampi, and soft cheeses.


Italo Cescon Riesling
Classification: Veneto IGT
Variety: 100% Riesling
Soil: Gravely, medium textured
Harvesting: Grapes are harvested by hand during the first week of September.
Wine Process: A light crushing and pressing with 60% free-run must. Fermentation with selected yeasts that lasts for 13 days at 57° F.
Aging: Ages in stainless steel tanks for 5 months. Then refined in the bottle for 2 months.
Alcohol level: 12%
Color: A straw yellow color with green highlights that tend to golden as the wine matures.
Aroma: Fresh and fragrant with a delicate intensity. Hints of spring yellow flowers.
Taste: Has the typical freshness of Riesling. An elegance mixed with good structure and a full body. It is a dry wine that contains a warm and persistent aftertaste.
Serving suggestions: Great as an aperitif or with most seafood dishes. Best with fresh oysters or sea bass and can also accompany fresh cheeses. Should be served at 46-50° F.

Italo Cescon Madre
Variety: 100% Manzoni Bianco
Name: Veneto I.G.T.
Vineyards: Fagare and San Polo di Piave estates
Cultivation: Organic
Vinification: long soft pressing of whole, manually loaded grapes, followed Ьу fermentation in concrete and then in wood
Maturation period: up to March on the yeasts, and then aging in bottle for at least one year.
Organoleptic features: bright straw colour with greenish highlights. On the nose elegant and generous with а typical strong aroma. Scents of yellow peaches, acacia, lime peel and aromatic herbs that give way to mineral and salty hints with aging. The sensation on the palate is of vitality and vivacious elegance enhanced Ьу freshness. Well-balanced with good acidity and embracing softness. Wine that lasts well.
Serving suggestions: excellent as an aperitif, it is delightful with fish dishes, shellfish and seafood. Very good also with white meat, salami and herbal cheese. Splendid drunk on its own.
