For centuries, Russian vodka has been celebrated as the world’s purest spirit and straight forward luxury. At the heart of this tradition stands Moskovskaya, a brand which has maintained a minimalist and traditionally Russian approach to its production.
This adherence to tradition allows Moskovskaya to sit within the Osobaya category - a unique category of unflavored vodka highly regarded for its purity and great taste because of the special ingredients used in the production process. Since 1938, Moskovskaya has been produced using M. Kucherov’s original method, which earned Moskovskaya vodka the exceptional “Osobaya” designation.

RAW MATERIALS

We use the best wheat and rye, which is cleaned and then mashed. Carefully selected grain allows us to obtain a rounded aroma and a balanced taste.
FERMENTATION
The grain mash is blended with treated artesian well water from a depth of 198m and fermentation begins at a high temperature, followed by mash maturation at a steady pace for 3 days.
DISTILLATION
Distillations follows immediately after our mash matures, driving it through states of immense pressure and heat to remove volatile impurities. This process is repeated 3 times for the best, and purest result.
FILTRATION
This method starts with quartz sand and progresses on to activated charcoal, before the final filtration back through quartz sand - delivering vodka of great purity and authentic style.
OSOBAYA
At the last stage before vodka filtration, citric acid and sodium are added to soften the profile maintaining character.
